zendako - BRAND IDENTITY
I had the privilege of working on the branding for Zendako, a food cart located in the bustling downtown area of Portland, Oregon. Specializing in authentic Japanese Takoyaki, a popular street food consisting of fried octopus dumplings, Zendako aims to bring a taste of Japan to the Pacific Northwest.
The branding project was particularly exciting for me as it allowed me to draw inspiration from traditional, hand-brushed lettering techniques found in Japan. As a designer, this presented a unique challenge for me to step away from my computer and focus on honing my lettering skills. I was able to experiment with different brush strokes and techniques to create a distinct and authentic brand for Zendako.
Working on this project not only allowed me to improve my skills but also gave me a greater appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Japan and the art of traditional lettering. It was a pleasure to be a part of bringing a piece of that culture to the streets of Portland through the branding of Zendako.
